Widgets and question about text in body of page

I would like to use the HTML from another site ( Amazon Associate) so that I can promote recommended books on my site.  On the editor page I click html and then paste as instructed but after saving all that comes is the complete code.  Is this because the url I am using.  I am using the main for my site http://www.annhobs.n.nu  should I be adding something else?

My other problem is that I want to change the colour of the text how do I change it and I also want to alter part of the header and cannot see how I can do it.
